Selecting Gifts for your Wedding Party
It’s totally up to you how you want to do this, but it is customary and appropriate to give a token gift to those in your wedding party who have done so much to help make your wedding day so special.
Besides giving you a lot of their time and assistance, they have had expenses as well, with the purchase of a dress or tux rental.
Here are some suggestions but you know your friends best. Get them something you know that would appreciate.
Usually the gifts are the same for each of the bridesmaids and the same for each of the groomsmen, but they don’t necessarily have to be.
Common bridesmaids’ gifts include: jewelry, stationery, perfume, jewelry box, journal, date or address book, silk scarf or just a gift certificate to their favorite store.
Common grooms’ gifts include: silk tie, personalized money clip, cologne, shaving kit, wallet, or a gift certificate to their favorite store.
If you had any children take part in the ceremony, a toy that their parent’s would recommend would probably be the most appropriate.
The parents of the bride and groom deserve something since they made all this possible. You could show your appreciation with a special framed wedding photo, a gift certificate to one of their favorite restaurants or stores, or send them to a resort for a weekend.
